The VTRC engaged Champlain College Students from Social Work Generalist Practice II, Spring Semester of 2024. Mollie Creagan, Alexandra Silva and Ashley Cugno investigated the names of institutions, streets, historic buildings, etc. of Vermont and revealed the names' problematic history in Vermont. We also thank the Champlain College Social Work Professor Sianay Clifford for their guidance and contribution.
The VTRC aims to engage other colleges and universities to continue this research, ultimately to coincide with the report that will be submitted at the end of this commission.
